ah, modern art.
so esthetically pleasing
with your tall, white walls
and symmetrical geometric figures.
I could get lost in your sleek, metal frames
and convoluted films about water.

but what of the man in braces
who hit on me in the Burri exhibit?
his shiny metal teeth
and Barcelona business card
were a dead giveaway
that he didn’t come to the museum
to look at the paintings.
